Willy Mason - If The Ocean Gets Rough

Willy Mason is a delayed discovery for me. What I mean by this statement is that I discovered him some 3 years ago, but have only recently begun to appreciate him. My good friend Mitch and I were in Best Buy picking up cds and sampling them at the listening station when I found Willy Mason's debut album Where The Humans Eat. It did nothing for me, but Mitch took an immediate liking to it. To this day, that album still has yet to grasp me, though I'm still open to it. His sophomore release, however, has grabbed me around the throat and has refused to let go.

I don't know, exactly, what I can say about this album to persuade my beloved readers to give it a try other than that it has done well to leave my stereo for more than 5 minutes at a time for little under a week now. If you're in the mood for a modestly produced album full of folk and alt-country gems, then look no further, for Willy Mason has arrived.
