Saturday Looks Good To Me is a band that has been around for nearly 10 years, but never getting too much attention. In my opinion, that is by no means a good thing, but not necessarily a bad thing either. The thing about this band is that the songs are good, but not great. That's not to say, though, that there aren't great tracks on "Fill Up The Room" though. "Money In The Afterlife" is one of the most creative indie/pop songs I've ever heard. Really, more than anything, the stand-out tracks are great, but it's really not until the second half of the album that you really begin to see these tracks. More than anything, though, the truly great tracks serve to give me hope that Fred Thomas and company will soon realize their potential and release a truly great album. Worth checking out, but if you're like me, you'll be anticipating their next release, just to see if they are able to create a cohesive album.
