My Brightest Diamond is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Shara Worden, best known for her contributions as one of Sufjan Stevens' Illinoismakers. The best way I can describt Shara's music is to say that is sounds as if Enya played music that sounded less like it belonged on an Irish Spring commercial and challenged herself as a musician and artist. My Brightest Diamond incorporates elements of opera, cabaret, chamber music, and rock, but you can also hear a few hints of progressive as well. Great album.
