"A Weekend In The City", however, is a great album, finding Kele and Co.'s more commercial side, one more or less unseen on "Silent Alarm". Do not be misled, though. Some people would tell you that anything commercial is bad, I should know, I used to be one of them. Once I got over myself, I realized that not every band that is garnering critical acclaim and selling hundreds of thousands of records has sold out. Some of them lucked out. In any case, Bloc Party. is one band who has unbelievable amounts of talent, and who knows how to write incredibly well. Songs like "The Prayer" and "Sunday" prove that Bloc Party. can write catchy songs that are still true to the sound they initially created. It's called maturation.
I don't know, however, how you would label their latest release.
